🙂
As usual, we have had a very busy week! We were in NC at the beginning and then we went back to Charleston for the weekend.
Let's get this show on the road...
I had lunch with Twin on Friday, and we went back to The Early Bird Diner.
This is a B.L.F.= A Bacon, Lettuce, & FRIED GREEN TOMATO sandwich.
Swoon...
Then Twin got her own new tattoo!
100 pts to your house if you know what this tat means 😉
I then introduced her to the best restaurant chain in America (only b/c of their fantabulous milkshakes).
Friday was my Daddy's birthday, so we all went to supper
to his favorite restaurant to celebrate.
This is "Cha-chi" givin' Papa some sugar 🙂
I couldn't get over how amazingly delicious their Blackberry Sangria was.
I will re-create it one day soon...minus the buttload of high fructose corn syrup.
Clearly.
I then had an overly processed, chemical loaded hot fudge sundae.
It looked better than it tasted :/
Not to be outshined by chocolate and nuts, Lily decided she wanted to prove that she is the cutest kittles on the planet.
Little bitch <3
On Saturday, we woke up and did some last minute packing.
Weasley made sure to lay claim on the Cupcake Vodka marketing box.
Saturday evening we headed to my brother's for pizza and a movie.
Will and I stopped to get some beer on our way.
I opted for this...
Instead of this.
Tough call 😉
We then snuggled with our niece & nephew before putting them to bed.
On Sunday, we begrudgingly made the trip back up to North Carolina.
Then I realized that maybe this move wasn't half bad after all.
I mean...look at that view!!!
Lily didn't seem to mind the change at all.
Little bitch 😉
Necessities, necessities...
To cap off the night, we sampled this week's Sassy Hour cocktail.
As Uncle Eddie from National Lampoon's Christmas vacation would say,
that stuff was Gooo-ooo-ood.
Getting to know you...
What are your morning essentials?
Have you ever eaten fried green tomatoes?
Do you have a blackberry sangria recipe?

My grandaddy was from Texas - he was always frying tomatoes! I'm not a huge fan, myself. But I'd try them every now and again to make him happy. I do not have a blackberry sangria recipe - can't wait for yours, though. It would have been awesome at my girls' night this past Saturday 🙂

Don't worry, love. I'm not really a fan of tomatoes either...unless they're green, coated in crust a crust, and fried crispy...or in a marinara sauce. I absolutely am not the girl to put a tomato on a sandwich or something icky like that *blech*
Mia says
Oh. See, I love a plump, juicy red tomato. In a caprese salad, on a pizza, or sliced and served alone with salt and pepper. I'm just not into the fried green ones. I'm also not a huge sandwich girl...though I did make some tasty philly-style chicken sandwiches the other day.

I wish I liked tomato sandwiches, but I don't 🙁 The thought of them actually gives me the heebie jeebies!

Once you're made aware of HFCS, it's crazy to eat out at places and think about the possibilities of it popping up in absolutely EVERYTHING. I mean don't get me wrong-- I LOVE myself some froyo, but I'm preeettttty positive that Menchies does not use "all natural" ingredients haha 😀
Out of sight out of mind? Maybe? haha
amber says
OMG! I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I think I'm becoming a little obsessed with the stuff not going into anything I eat! And then of course I make a recipe like tomorrow's which is so absolutely full of the crap it's a sin...but they're soooooo good...and I will only make them for Halloween...and only eat two...dozen...and you'll just have to wait and see what it is 😉 Have you had Yobe frozen yogurt yet? They do use all natural ingredients, and it's my absolutely most favorite yogurt place ever. It's not ice creamy yogurt like Menchies, but more like an icy yogurt if that makes sense? Anywho, try the taro flavor if you ever go! To.die.for.
