Good morning, loves!
I don't have a lot of time to write this morning, so let's get started, shall we?
PS. Please excuse the horrid pics again, I forgot my camera (I've got to quite doing that!) so these are from the hub's Droid.
After work on Friday we headed to a Valentine's Day themed
charity auction held by our local Chamber of Commerce.
They had a Valentine's Tree!
I wasn't sure if supper was being served or not,
so I loaded my app plate with lots of goodies
because I didn't really eat lunch that day.
Too bad I only ate the duck & pear crostini
and the cheese and crackers!
I wasn't a fan of anything else really :/
I then found out dinner was being served,
and we had to wait in a long line for dinner.
We had to find ways to keep ourselves busy.
Cheese (y)!
Supper included a giant side of beef roast,
grilled chicken breast, green beans, corn,
potatoes au gratin, a fresh green salad, and a dinner roll.
This was my before...
And after!
Everything was really good, but
there was just waaaaay too much food!
Clearly, banana pudding was served for dessert.
Again, I wasn't a huge fan because you could tell
it came from a box, so I only had a couple of bites.
Then my BIL started the auction!
Per usual, he did a great job!
I was put to work too!
I was a back-up for my SIL who
was in charge of the whole shibang, and
she asked me to keep track of the winning bids.
Things got a bit hectic for us all,
but it worked itself out in the end
and my SIL was fantastic, again per usual.
On Saturday, the hubs had to go to some softball clinics
because he's going to be doing some umpiring this season.
I stayed home and worked and he brought me home lunch
which was a apple & pecan chicken salad from Wendy's.
So flipping good.
At the end of the long day we snuggled with the babies
and each picked out two chocolates from our Godiva Valentine's Day box.
Lily was sad that she didn't get any 🙂
Sunday morning we woke up and had to take
a few pics of Will's first real estate listing!
This house is over a 100 yrs old and will be
absolutely gorgeous once it's restored.
Let me know if you want to buy a house in Columbia, NC!
I then got to work in the kitchen!
I whipped up this scratch made 5 layer dip...
And all of these goodies which included
the dip, chicken salad, baked hot wings,
homemade chunky blue cheese dressing, veggies & hummus,
turkey & black bean quesadillas and strawberry yogurt muffins
(which I'll post the recipe to soon).
Random menu, I know, but we were trying to use up leftovers 🙂
I had a little of everything...
And washed it down with a bottle a few glasses of Moscato
which I will be drinking from now on.
So amazingly delicious!
I then worked on real estate stuff and watched the Super Bowl commercials before hitting the hay early to prepare for our busy, busy week!
Getting to know you...
Have you ever been to a charity auction?
Do you like duck?
What's your favorite wine?

OMG. I rarely attend charity auctions as a guest (my student budget doesn't really handle those well), but I've (helped) organize tons. At least a dozen, maybe more. Two of which set school records, I might add 😉 I do like duck. And wine. Pretty much any type, but especially semi-sweet or sweet whites. Pinot Grigio/gris, riesling, sauvignon blanc, moscato. I drink 'em all, and then some!
