I still haven't gotten into that whole "hump day" talk so let's just stick with the WAIW shenanigans instead, shall we?
As usual, let's thank the super precious and super pregnant Jenn at Peas & Crayons for hosting the party! Be sure to hop on over to her blog to check out what she and a whole slew of other bloggers like to eat!
I myself still am not feeling 100% yet. I'm hoping that I'm not coming down with mono again (what is wrong with me?!?), but I feel like I had a pretty successful, fairly healthy day any way. There were no crazy sweets or Cook Out milkshakes to share, so that's definitely a plus (and minus)!
Breakfast: A toasted blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese,
hazelnut coffee with one Nunaturals stevia packet & a tablespoon
of Natural Bliss all-natural vanilla coffee creamer and a giant glass of ice water.
I didn't eat the banana until about an hour or so after the bagel.
Lunch: leftover Mexican steak & chicken fajitas with lots of veggies,
refried beans, rice, whole wheat tortillas, and a ton of cilantro
and a dollop of Daisy. This was washed down with a Zevia all-natural
ginger ale and more ice water.
Snack: All-natural, preservative & HFCS free Sunbelt
fudge dipped coconut granola bar. SWOOOON!
Supper: We went out to dinner at the semi-local country club,
and I started the meal out with a delicious herb butter biscuit
and a good bit of ice water throughout the night.
Followed by a bowl of amazing french onion soup
with melted gruyere and a thick, chewy crouton.
Knowing the soup was a large bowl, I ordered a half portion of my
entree thinking that the serving size would be, you know, a HALF portion.
Not so much, but no complaints here! Half the price for
a huge plate of food that I only ate half of and then packed the rest to go.
This was seared chicken cutlets with sauteed apples & spinach speckled
with fresh thyme and served alongside a baked potato and steamed
broccoli with roasted red peppers. Mmmm, mmmm good!
See? Not so bad, right?
Getting to know you...

Eating 4 Balance says
Your first pictures are so vibrant and pretty. Love them! A bagel sounds just about perfect right now, toasted and slathered in some delicious cream cheese... Okay, keep dreaming, right? Haha.
And your "half" portion looks like it would be amazing as leftovers!

Thanks so much! I'm going to eat the leftovers tonight!

Wow! your photography is beautiful, I'll have to try harder next WIAW! Sweet bagels, I had never thought of that, always go down the savoury route, I don't think we get blueberry here in the UK, will have to make my own
That Granola bar sounds immense, snack envy over here!

All of your eats look beyond delicious. I'm getting hungry! French onion soup is the ultimate comfort food...
amber says
It was so sweet and ooey, gooey delicious. Loved it!

Oh my, the fudge dipped coconut sounds delicious! Actually, all your eats look delicious!
Funny you ask about ordering at Mexican restaurants because we just went to one last night. We don't go that often and I tend to stick with a salad or grilled veggies but went with the shrimp cocktail last night and was not disappointed! Yum!

Honey oat bagels, for sure! I love Mexican food (I'm from Arizona, after all) - and the list of things I love is VERY long. I'm a big enchilada fan, though. And, you know, margaritas. Duh. I've order half portions of "entree" salads when I wanted something fancier than the side salad, but also some fries or a burger or something, too. Other than that, give me ALL THE FOOD. I can always reheat later.
Sonja @ The {Happy} Travel Bug says
The everything bagel is, well, everything! LOVE mexican food! Always get chips, salsa, cheese dip and guacamole. Try to order the half portions whenever I can. And that still fills me up (of course I usually have an appetizer and dessert). 🙂
amber says
We bought everything bagels too!
Kathy Steger @FoodWineThyme says
Its been such a long time since I've had french onion soup. It looks amazing. I love a Bialy bagel. Order guacamole, tacos and of course margaritas at Mexican restaurants. But I love mexican food so much I can eat it all.
Anna @ Your Healthy Place says
