A frozen twist on the classic melon ball drink made with freshly frozen Honeydew, melon liquor, melon vodka, and sweet pineapple juice.
Melon Balls have always been one of my favorite cocktails.
If you've never had one, they're sort of one of those drinks you order when you just turn 21 and haven't quite gotten the taste for vodka tonics, or when you want something fruity and sweet but different from a standard daiquiri or pina colada.
Syrupy sweet and classically mixed with melon liquor, vodka, orange or pineapple juices, and topped with a maraschino cherry, Melon Balls are an awesome drink to enjoy while sipping on sunset cocktails with your gal pals.
Of course I can't just post a regular ole drink recipe without giving it a little added oomph, so I zipped it up a notch by creating a frozen take on the classic cocktail by using melon vodka and homemade honeydew melon ice cubes...which are so much simpler than they sound.
All you have to do is scoop the honeydew melon into balls (or cut into chunks) then follow my super easy and basic tips on how to freeze fruit. If you're in a rush, you can totes bypass the frozen honeydew all together and use ice instead, but I will tell you this: You will be losing out on a mouthful of refreshing flavor of melon ball madness that I promise is too good to miss.
