Long time, no read, huh?

I’m so sorry I haven’t been around! My life has sort of been flipped upside down, and I feel like it has taken me months to catch up.

It’s been almost a year since I was diagnosed w/ my brain tumor and since then I feel as if it has been impossible for me to get back into the groove and feel myself again. On the home front things have been great, but medically I am just a disaster!

So remember how I told you I was having knee pain, but was told by a specialist is was essentially no big deal?

After we moved back home, I started walking the neighborhood to get some Vitamin D, exercise, and listen to murder mystery podcasts. After a few weeks, my knee started swelling and causing me a huge amount of pain again. Instinct (and the pain!) told me something was really wrong so I decided to get a 2nd opinion from a practice I knew I could trust. I got referred to a knee specialist in the same practice as my orthopedic surgeon and, long story short, I am 3 weeks post op from a knee arthroscopy because I had not one, but two!, meniscus tears as well as damaged cartilage under my knee cap.

As of today, the pain and the swelling are mostly gone, and I almost feel like a new person. Next week, I will have someone watching Owen on a full-time basis so I plan to get back into the groove of blogging regularly again! I just wanted to send you all a quick update as to where I’ve been, and let you know I’ll be back soon!

O.M.G. I am so sorry to say that I have been so absorbed in my own life that I had no idea any of this was going on. I am glad you are doing ok, and I hope things continue to be on the upswing for you and your family. Can’t wait to see what else you post in the coming weeks!! You take good care of yourself.

**Is there a way to click though your posts in chronological order? I couldn’t find a previous or next button on the homepage, and was hoping to catch up on things I’d missed.
