I hope everyone had a fantabulous weekend! Mine started off really well, but then I started feeling like death again. Several people had told me that I would start feeling better, but to still take it easy because mono would easily come back if I wasn’t careful.
So what did I do the second I started feeling better?
I cooked a bunch of food, took pictures, took some online real estate webinars, worked out, scrubbed our house, folded and put away all of our laundry (which I never do!) then went out to dinner and had a few beers.
Yesterday I felt like I had been plowed and dragged down the street by an 18 wheeler and then left for dead on the side of the road for the buzzards to eat. Luckily, I got to lay on the couch most of the evening so I feel a little bit better today. The good news is that I haven’t had a fever in about a week so I think as long as I try to take it easy, I should be in the clear!
On Friday morning I woke up to this bundle of precious.
He loves to lay on his back, but will attack you
if you try to touch his belly 🙂
Lily then helped me clean the dishes :/
My husband was out of town at an auctioneer’s convention this weekend,
but that didn’t stop me from having fun visiting with his family!
Including our precious baby nephew 🙂
We went to a local oyster bar and ate until we couldn’t eat anymore!
It was so.flipping.good.
I also shared a half pound of steamed scallops
with my BIL. They were cooked *PERFECTLY*
and were dusted in Old Bay.
On Saturday the whole family came over for dinner.
This is the night I started feeling horribly, so I didn’t get a pic of the food
but I did get a pic of what I was doing before the plague hit.
I also received a package in the mail this weekend
that contained the best hair product I’ve ever used.
Just a light spritz makes my hair silky smooth and light as air.
I’ll never go without it again.
On Sunday we went and spent a very belated Christmas with
the hubs grandmother, aunts, and cousins. It was so much fun,
and I got to snuggle with this guy on the way home.
I then spent the rest of the evening medicated with Nyquil and watching a bazillion hours of Final Witness on Hulu.
Getting to know you…
Have you ever been to an oyster bar?
What’s your favorite kind of wine?
What’s your favorite hair product?
