How to Make Christmas Cut Out Cookies

 Made with just 3 ingredients with zero resting time, these buttery shortbread cookies melt in your mouth and will become a new family tradition!

Approved by family, friends, kids, and (most importantly)  the man in the big red suit, these cookies are no fail and super easy to make.

Ingredients

1. Butter

2. Sugar

3. All Purpose Flour

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until mixture is light and fluffy.

Gradually add in flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until dough pulls together and forms a soft ball.

Step 3

Divide dough in half, and place one half on a lightly floured surface. Roll out to 1/4 inch in thickness.

Step 4

Dip cookie cutters in flour, and cut cookies into desired shapes. Place 1 inch apart on a baking sheet. Repeat, adding sprinkes into the 2nd batch before baking.

Step 5

 Bake for 20-25 minutes or until slightly browned. Remove to wire racks and allow to cool completely before icing.

– 2 cups powdered sugar – 2 tsp light corn syrup – 2-3 tbsp whole milk – 1/4 tsp Pure Vanilla extract or almond extract – Gel Food coloring
