Instructions
Remove wax from store-bought apples by placing in a hot water bath for 5-10 minutes. Dry completely.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place in the fridge until ready to use. Prep apples by sticking popsicle sticks through the TOPs of the apple, located where the stem is, so they will stand up straight once coated in caramel.
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil, whisking occasionally, until the mixture is dark and thick. About 15 minutes.
Remove baking sheet from the fridge and coat the apples with the caramel, immediately sprinkling them with the toppings of your choosing.
Place coated apples onto the prepared baking sheet until all of the apples are dipped. Place them in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to allow the caramel to set before serving.
